Before the world named you, before circumstance shaped you, before anyone told you who you were or were not — you were already the Beloved.
Remembrance is not about finding something lost. It is not a striving or an achieving. It is a returning — a quiet turning inward toward what has always been present, always been true, always been yours. The Divine did not place your worth outside of you to be discovered one day. It placed it within you from the very beginning.
We live in a world that is constantly telling us who we are based on what we produce, what we possess, how we perform. The message is relentless and it is loud — you are only as valuable as your last achievement, your last relationship, your last success. And after a while, if we are not careful, we begin to believe it.
But the mystics have always known something different. Howard Thurman wrote that there is something in every person that waits and listens for the sound of the genuine — that deep, interior knowing that you are more than the sum of your circumstances. Charles Fillmore taught that the Divine Presence lives at the center of every human being, whole and complete, waiting not to be earned but to be remembered.
Today I want to invite you into that remembrance.
Not a religious exercise. Not a performance. Simply a returning — to the truth that was spoken over you before you took your first breath. You are the Beloved. You were made in the image and likeness of the Divine. You carry within you everything you need for the life you are here to live.
The world may have told you otherwise. Circumstances may have suggested otherwise. But the deepest truth — the one that lives beneath every wound, every doubt, every season of forgetting — is this:
You are the Beloved. Worthy. Enough. And greater than any limitation you have ever known.
Begin there. Come back there. Return there as many times as you need to. That is where the journey begins.
